Full-time / part-time flower warehouse employee in Amstelveen
What are you going to do?
As a shipping employee you are responsible for delivering the right flowers to the production team at the right time. You are the link between the purchasing team, the suppliers and the team on the production floor. You work closely with the intake supervisor and the quality controllers. There is a small team to support the process during the intake. You have the following responsibilities:
- Handling the incoming flow of fresh flowers together with the rest of the Intake team, the Supply chain and the Buying team
- Digitally counting and registering the type of flower that comes in, so that you know what is in the house
- Physically dividing the flower stems into the correct design in the cold room, to prepare them for production
- When necessary, collect flowers from growers or the auction to ensure that we can start production on time
- Continuing the intake process together with the team.

The work location for this position is in Amstelveen. So, for example, if you come from Amsterdam, Haarlem, Leiden or Hoofddorp, you can certainly travel by own transport. If you travel by bicycle or public transport, it is actually only possible if you live very close by.
Requirements
- You are available full-time from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM;
- 4 days, 32 hours is also possible, but Monday is mandatory due to the crowds;
- Fluent in English (Dutch and Polish are a bonus);
- You are willing to work in a cooled environment (around 4 degrees), of course warm clothing is provided;
- Flexibility with working hours;
- Be able to work under pressure and be detail-oriented;
- A reliable team player;
- Arithmetic (counting) is no problem for you.
It is an advantage if you have the following points:
- Experience working in the flower industry;
- Some flower knowledge Experience with Excel/Google sheets;
- You have a driver's license or live close to the work location.
What we offer
- Your salary depends on your experience and therefore varies between €2,300 and €2,850 gross per month.
- In addition to your salary you will receive:
- Holiday pay of 8.33%
- 26 Holiday/leave days
- Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer;
- Furthermore, there are plenty of career opportunities;
- You will immediately receive a contract with our client and there is a prospect of permanent employment.
