What are you going to do?
In this position you are responsible for packing the shipments and preparing them for shipment. Once you have packed the goods, you prepare the various customs and transport documents. You will also have contact with the various carriers (by e-mail). You also ensure that the goods are ready for transport on time. Furthermore, if necessary, you will assist in other common activities in the warehouse.

In this position you will be involved in archiving documents, using different communication channels, using office systems, passing messages to people, filling out forms, processing packages and shipments and various warehouse activities.

About the employer
It is an international company with employees all over the world. If you come to work for us, you will work in the Shipping department, which is a small, close-knit team consisting of 7 colleagues. Furthermore, in this position you will work closely with other colleagues from the Warehouse and you will have regular contact with colleagues from our Customer Service department. The company is located in Alphen aan den Rijn. That is why it is useful if you live near: The Hague, Zoetermeer, Alphen aan den Rijn, Leiden, Gouda, Bodegraven, Koudekerk or Hazerswoude-Dorp.
Requirements
- Has a good command of the Dutch and English language
- Is reliable, friendly and a team player
- Can work with concentration for long periods of time
- Has an affinity with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Has no difficulty standing and walking for long periods of time
- Is already in possession of an 'air freight employee basic certificate' (this is an advantage)
- Is willing to participate in the AOG service in the long term
We are looking for someone who is available full-time, 40 hours a week. The working days are from Monday to Friday during office hours (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
What we offer
Your salary is based on your experience and is therefore between €12 and €14 per hour. You will also receive a travel allowance and on top of your salary you will receive an additional ADV allowance.
Because you come into contact with aircraft parts in the warehouse and the shipments involve air freight, you will follow a Security Awareness training before you can independently perform this function. After you have successfully completed this training, you will receive an 'air freight basic employee certificate'.
