What are you going to do?

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for a large technical company in Bleiswijk. As a Logistics Coordinator, you manage your own department and ensure that the logistics process runs smoothly. Approximately 70% of your working time is spent on operational activities, while the remaining 30% consists of optimizing processes, handling complaints and other administrative tasks. During your working day you will be busy with, among other things:

  • Working in a logistics team and managing, monitoring and motivating the team within your department;
  • Achieving agreed objectives within the department process;
  • Consult with colleagues within and outside the department;
  • Implementing the personnel policy, for which you are partly responsible;
  • Drawing up a department plan;
  • Be accountable to the Team Leader (in his absence to the Manager);
  • Compliance with the internal regulations and safety rules and procedures;
  • Also participate yourself.

About the employer

At one of the leading distributors of electrical materials, you can work with a range of more than 300,000 products, of which 50,000 are directly available from stock. As part of the distribution center in Bleiswijk, you will have a lot of freedom in your role to implement and improve LEAN processes. You are responsible for carrying out the daily department work, enforcing the applicable rules and guiding employees according to the set standards. Located in Bleiswijk, the business premises are easily accessible from Leiden, Rotterdam, Zoetermeer, The Hague and Rotterdam.

Requirements

  • You have at least an MBO working and thinking level;
  • You have knowledge and experience in managing staff both within and outside the work area;
  • You have at least two years of relevant work experience in a managerial role;
  • You have excellent communication skills;
  • You have a positive attitude and are able to deal well with changes;
  • You are flexible and stress-resistant.

What we offer

For this full-time position, a salary indication of €2,800 to €3,600 is given, depending on experience and age. The working hours are from 12:00 - 21:00 or 10:00 - 19:00. The shifts change, but this will be announced well in advance.

In addition, you will immediately receive a permanent appointment for a fixed period with the prospect of a permanent contract for an indefinite period.
