What are you going to do?
For this position we are looking for an experienced team leader with a higher professional education background and experience in logistics processes. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and is able to manage the evening shifts properly. In addition, the candidate must be able to convey new ideas and change processes. The candidate must also enjoy working with different types of people.
The team leader's tasks include providing leadership, instruction and guidance to a team of 80+ employees, ensuring efficient execution of the work and checking the quality and quantity of the work delivered. The team leader is partly responsible for achieving productivity and quality standards, checks the working environment for order and cleanliness and consults with colleagues about work within the departments. The team leader also promotes connections between the various departments and discusses findings with the DC Manager and takes any follow-up actions within the team.
The team leader is also responsible for creating a department plan, assessing the performance of the Warehouse Employees and Coordinators, conducting progress and assessment interviews and having regular consultations with the DC Manager. The team leader is also responsible for absenteeism management of the team's employees and must be prepared to replace fellow Team Leaders in the event of absenteeism, holidays and emergencies.
The working hours for this position are from 12:00-21:00 or 10:00-19:00, and the position requires working a 2-shift schedule.

At one of the leading distributors of electrical materials, you can work with a range of more than 300,000 products, of which 50,000 are directly available from stock. As part of the distribution center in Bleiswijk, you will have a lot of freedom in your role to implement and improve LEAN processes. You are responsible for carrying out the daily department work, enforcing the applicable rules and guiding employees according to the set standards. Located in Bleiswijk, the business premises are easily accessible from Leiden, Zoetermeer, The Hague and Rotterdam North.
Requirements
- You have an MBO/HBO working and thinking level and have an MBO diploma in the field of logistics;
- In addition, you have at least 6 years of work experience in a warehouse, of which managerial experience is a requirement;
- You have knowledge of LEAN and possession of a reach truck certificate is an advantage.
What we offer
This full-time position offers a salary of €2,850 to €3,850 per month, depending on age and experience. There are plenty of opportunities for growth and development within the company. In addition, a contract is immediately offered by the employer.
