What are you going to do?

As an office employee, you are a spider in the web of the logistics process. There is great diversity within this vacancy. One moment you are the point of contact for customers and suppliers and the next you are busy with personnel planning or checking orders. In addition, you have strong communication skills and commercial insight. In short, your working day is never boring and you see plenty of work to do. During the work you will perform the following tasks:

  • Assisting in the preparation of personnel planning.
  • Review, release and plan orders.
  • Track & Trace control.
  • Managing the drivers.
  • Point of contact for suppliers, customers and carriers.
  • Carrying out quality checks.
  • Other administrative work.

About the employer

Our client started in 2018 with a small hall of about 500 square meters. The main location in Alphen aan den Rijn has now been expanded to 12,000 square meters. They provide logistics service distribution mainly throughout the Benelux and Germany. Furthermore, a lot is done for the transport of sea containers from Rotterdam to the warehouse. You will communicate frequently with that location by telephone. As an employee you are expected to be present at the location in Alphen aan den Rijn. It's useful if you're from the area. If you come from Zoetermeer, Leiden or Gouda, for example, then it is certainly easy to reach.

Requirements

As an office employee, you are an enthusiastic person with good communication skills, good dedication and a customer-oriented attitude. In addition, you have a flexible attitude, you like to work accurately and you dare to take responsibility for your tasks. Having a good knowledge of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, is very useful, as is knowledge of office software such as Outlook, Word and Excel. You also know how to work in a customer-friendly manner. Good, clear, and timely communication is essential for this position.

What we offer

  • For this full-time position, the salary is determined by the Collective Labor Agreement for Professional Goods Transport and is therefore between €12 and €15 per hour;
